Payment of Claims

Our payment method emphasizes efficiency and safety. Disbursement checks are printed on
8-1/2” x 11” safety paper stock. The check is printed on the upper one-third of each sheet and the transmittal letter explaining the payment is on the bottom two-thirds. We use the “positive pay” systems at banks to detect fraudulent checks.

We keep close watch over checks as they clear. We reconcile all checking accounts daily, so we know which checks have cleared as of the day before. We reissue checks as necessary.

We also design coupons for refunds and rebates and provide systems and procedures for coupon redemptions. Like checks, all coupons are designed with built-in fraud protection.
